Reading Fallingdust, following its puzzle guides or using its recommendations means you accept the terms on this page. They are short and are meant to be read by someone who came for games, riddles and speculative fiction. Questions can go to [email protected].

General information and opinion

Articles about alternate reality games, mystery puzzles and science fiction are general information and personal opinion. They are entertainment and commentary, not professional advice. Games are run by independent organisers who can change rules, dates or availability without notice, so a description here may be out of date. When a hunt asks you to visit places, answer calls or meet people, use your own judgment about safety, privacy and the law, and never trespass or put yourself at risk for a clue. Do not share personal details with strangers because a puzzle suggests it.

Ownership

The writing, layout and original graphics on Fallingdust belong to the operator or are used with permission. Quoting a short passage with a clear credit to the site is fine, and so is sharing a link. Copying full pieces, republishing puzzle write-ups or selling them requires written permission. Works discussed here, such as novels, films and games, belong to their own creators.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the site, flood it with automated requests, plant malicious code or use it to send spam. Do not use Fallingdust to harass other players or to scrape its guides in bulk. We may block visitors whose behaviour puts the site or other readers at risk.

Spoilers and solutions

Solutions, theories and plot details are labelled where we can, but we cannot promise that every comment or linked page avoids spoiling a puzzle or story for you.

Submissions

When you send a correction, puzzle idea or topic suggestion, you confirm you may share it. You allow us to read it and use the idea to improve Fallingdust, with no duty to reply or publish.

Fallingdust may show advertising and may include affiliate links, for example to books, puzzle sets or game shops, which can earn the operator a small commission at no added cost to you. These links do not change what a review says.
